On behalf of the Kemah Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, I would like to thank each and every one of you who came out to support our Police Department. We really put this whole thing together in less than 1 month and it is was more successful than we ever thought possible. We haven't collected all the monies yet from the silent auctions and the raffle for the shotgun doesn't end until June 3rd but so far we've raised over five thousand dollars! The money raised will go to the many needs the department has at this time. It doesn't take a lot to give a lot. A little here and a little there really can go a long way. I would also like to thank the many members of the Kemah Volunteer Fire Department who joined our effort. Their participation is GREATLY appreciated and we the alumni look forward to more joint activities in the future as it is our goal to be an organization that supports our community as well as our police department and without the volunteer firefighters, Kemah wouldn't have a fire department. So thank you KVFD!!

On a personal note, I would like to add that I believe citizens of Kemah should feel good about it's city. With the recently elections we have great people representing us in the city council positions, we have a great Mayor who fights for us and has his heart in the right place and we have great people who put their lives on the line every day when they go to work at the police and fire departments. I for one am a proud of all them!

Thank you,

Robert Heitner
