Kathy Pierce celebrated 30-years of dedicated service as the City
Secretary to the City of Kemah in January. Well wishers stopped by City Hall
all day Wednesday, January 5 to show their appreciation for her years of
dedicated service to the community she lives in and serves.

Le Krewe Du Lac, (Official Krewe of Kemah) Kings Cake Party, Kicks off Mardi Gras
season and selects new King and Queen at Crawdaddy's January 7th.

The new King and Queen are Patrick Partridge and Lynn Nutt.

The M C was AJ LaHaye in Pirate garb.

The name of the band was Zydeco Joe.

The Stebbins owners of the original schoolhouse for Kemah and the surrounding the area
are honnored at city council meeting 1/ 13/ 05.

"I want to note that this community owes a huge debt of gratitude to Charles & Evelyn Stebbins
for preserving this building and making it possible for the City to make this acquisition. Were it
not for their foresight and stewardship this treasure would have been lost"

Battle of the Bridge Tropy Comes to Kemah City Hall!

After the rain out November 20th the "Battle of the Bridge" flag football game between Kemah and
Seabrook took place Saturday Dec 11th. The Mayor of Seabrook, Robin Riley and his Seabrook
Fightin’ Pelicans met the Mayor of Kemah Bill King and his Kemah Hobie Kats in a battle on the grid
iron to benefit Muscular Dystrophy. King's Hobie Kats won a desisive victory of 12 to 40 and the coveted
Battle of the Bridge Tropy will be displayed at the Kemah’s City Hall for one year. The game was held
at Seabrook Intermediate School. The MVP award went to Kemah's Paul Williams. a WCID 12 Board
member and former NFL and Arena Football Quarterback.
